JohnCocktosten Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Buy one. http://bit.ly/knDyYo Interesting....
chiman12 Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Holy crapper...I would make my son earn his way through University instead selling the Rolex collection!
FxrAndy Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I think i would be saying something "Get a job boy"
freddy333 Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Or, just give the kid the collection & then he will not need to go to school.
FxrAndy Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I wonder what the final price will be or what his reserve is $65k????
ricardo Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 i see some weird pieces in there. Most of the GMT masters have oyster perpetual date. Thought only reps have that
donerix Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 What happened to jobbing at the gas station. He should at least keep one (in case he is gonna have more kids.....)
JohnCocktosten Posted June 6, 2011 Author Report Posted June 6, 2011 The "Date" started appearing on the 16750 GMT gloss dials at some point. i see some weird pieces in there. Most of the GMT masters have oyster perpetual date. Thought only reps have that
redwatch Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I would think for that sort of investment that there would be a few more pictures than just one straight on shot?
southcoast68 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Nice looking collection there, although there are a few that bother me for some reason. I am no expert here, but see if you folks agree with me here; Does the crown on the following look too big to you? Especially the LV, which for some reason, really looks like a rep to me in that picture; Also, look at the number "4" on the GMT's bezel, it looks odd to me , like there should be a "flatter" top to that 4. I dunno, it could just be the camera lens distortion. I also have an issue with the Milgauss, the coronet on the dial does not look as "sleek" as I remember the genuine being normally. Oh well, I am not in the race for them anyway so no big deal to me, I just hope whoever buys them gets all gens as advertised. Cheers P.S. Hi everyone I am still around, just not as much lately. I hope you are all doing well.
slickdick Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Its just the camera. All pics are distorted same way as this:
JohnCocktosten Posted June 7, 2011 Author Report Posted June 7, 2011 In any case, no one in their right mind would buy $100k (or more) worth of watches without booking a flight out to take a look for themselves before handing over a bag of cash.
Tiyal Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Interesting investment angle, 19 watches. This is exactly how Ill save for my kids college! Buy a rolex every year on the kids birthday (for myself of course) then right it off as an investment with the IRS. I get a pile of watches and the kid goes to college. Win Win ...........I'd never give them up LOL
Vuggy Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 And, if your child dies tragically in his teens, you get to keep all the watches!
