Martyd3 Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 This is a Eurotimez DW. It's very nice with flat 3's, open 6's and 9's and the right size font, which centers well in the date window, but the silver finish is polished and very reflective. I don't think it's usable as is. I sprayed the overlay with flat clear lacquer and got this result, which I think is very good. It's not a brushed finish, but my eyes aren't that good enough to see the brushing anyway
alligoat Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 Looks good to me Marty. I've got the same ETZ DW which I plan on putting on a 2846 and sticking in my MBW 1680 if I can ever figure out what to do with the red sub dial. ByTor has got me to the point where I can't stand to look at the MBW red sub dial!
prdubis Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 My MBW 1680 came fitted with a silver DW, the same one as the DW I bougt from ETZ 2 or 3 yrs ago. Your DW was white? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=43.601295,1.447764
krpster Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Nice look. Matte finish was a good idea.
