Akira Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 I reported many fakes on ebay...almost never they got cancel after the bidding reached a certain price Moreover I found it effective to PM the seller...telling him you will file a criminal complaint and a complaint to Rolex, if he will sell the fake watch. Worked a couple of times
PPN Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 How can you tell it is fake? No, seriously...I'm still learning.
kbh Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 Submariner with a GMT bezel insert. Wrong crown position. Dial marker surrounds are too big. Minute hand is too short. Horrible bracelet with solid mid links. Wrong stampings. Fugly clasp. Among other things........
hiker01 Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 It's amazing how blatant these scammers are! .........and I bet ya, somebody will bid for it!
irolexu Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 some one has bid on this so called rolex. I flagged it so hope EBAY does the right thing but don't hold your breath. Its a very nice WM9 V3 of course so maybe he will take a 1000 for it!!!....simply kidding of course..

MAHLER Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 3 Bids ? O.o Why Ebay don't block this auction after our report?

Ephry73 Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 eBay is a joke lately. I had a sterile sub removed from a listing, because I used the word submariner milsub. This post is just ridiculous. Now(to play Devil's advocate), perhaps the seller does not know that it is a fake and this seller paid good cash for it, thus listing this as a gen, not a replica(bad one) E
txcollector Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 eBay is a joke lately. I had a sterile sub removed from a listing, because I used the word submariner milsub. This post is just ridiculous. Now(to play Devil's advocate), perhaps the seller does not know that it is a fake and this seller paid good cash for it, thus listing this as a gen, not a replica(bad one) E hmm, let's see. The seller spends about 6 months increasing his feedback with sales of objects of less than $10 (many at $0.99); All of the sudden comes a fake for thousands. I'd say this is a pattern of someone that knows how to fool eBay.
Ephry73 Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 Yup. I bought an old Sicura diver from a "lady" who even sent the watch in a new "pad" as padding. The watch was listed as working. I received it NOT WORKING. Returned the item with tracking. Still no refund, and no replies from the seller. Ebay defaulted on the seller because the tracking was not "accurate" whatever that means. it's a shame, eBay used to be a great source and a great resource. Not so much anymore. E

pr0digy30 Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 If you ever have concerns of a rep on EBay, I find it best to head over to the Rolexforums and the "WatchOut!" section. Lots of pros there and people who can listings pulled pretty quickly.
