lhooq Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Beautiful build and great photos, Eton. That rock makes for a great backdrop!

Eton Posted August 30, 2011 Author Report Posted August 30, 2011 That, sir... Is absolutely killer! Great shots of a great build! Your father is one lucky guy to have such a great son! Aw shucks, thanks R!
Eton Posted August 30, 2011 Author Report Posted August 30, 2011 Beautiful build and great photos, Eton. That rock makes for a great backdrop! Thanks M!!! I had to be really careful when placing it of course, that's the last thing I need is to scratch it! I'm still learning...but that's the whole point of photography and it's a passion that intertwines with this hobby!
Eton Posted August 30, 2011 Author Report Posted August 30, 2011 Congrats K Wear it well mate Nice pics... as always.... but where is the bird to model it !!?? Thanks Pete! If I had a bird modelling it, you wouldn't pay attention to the watch!
zhoon1129 Posted September 13, 2011 Report Posted September 13, 2011 simply perfect.. the matt finish makes the watch look so chich and matches really well with the pvd coating. Btw why not flatten the cg pin completely? That must be an uncomparably easy job to do compared to what you've gone through the build. Enjoy yours myfriend. I'm enjoying my 203a also built by The Zigmeister.
montrealer08 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 My God that's a sweet watch. Good job on this, amazing build.
flin0310 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Just a bit better than new DSN 202A...So why need to pay that much cost to build an item still far away from the Gen 202A?
montrealer08 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Just a bit better than new DSN 202A...So why need to pay that much cost to build an item still far away from the Gen 202A? Man, this piece is light years ahead of the so called newborn 202a's from DSN. Dial exactitude and finish, quality movement, crystal, caseback engravings and other parts involved are far superior... By like 300% and that strap must feel like Scarlet Johansen sitting on you lap.
panermaniac Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 stunning watch! Absolutely beautiful... I hope you enjoy it for many years. My last PVD run is taking place next month, it's the end of an era. Mr Zig what does "last run" mean? Will you still take on PVD orders for a while? If not, can you recommend anyone? ps - thank you for all the wonderful work you do

Thanks man!!! I was shocked at the "Little bit better" comment...I bought a "New born DSN 202A" for my father's build and it's NOT the same...the PVD coating was no where near the same, among most other things! Cheers
mir36 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 I missed this one. A true grail indeed! BTW, I have seen PreVs which do not have the flat and polished CPs: http://www.watches24seven.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=315 So I've personally never bothered with it in my own builds.
PeteM Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Totally agree.... PreVs tend to be more dome like unlike PreAs... but variation is the spice of PAM life PreV 201a PreA 002
Watchmeister Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Came back to this post and I have to say that you have a stunning example. I would be wearing that one proudly,

Eton Posted November 11, 2011 Author Report Posted November 11, 2011 Came back to this post and I have to say that you have a stunning example. I would be wearing that one proudly, Thanks W, that means a lot!!! It's very close to my heart Great looking watch and really cool that your building one for your dad. Thank you!!! My father's build just arrived this week from The Zigmeister, looks sick, not exactly the same, but the dial is just PERFECT...so he'll have a special gift under the tree this year! What crystal are you using? It's really clear and nice. DSN's crystal...it's pretty good actually!
siesta181 Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 Perfectly executed. The 202A is perhaps my favorite Panerai. A perfectly balanced watch.
Eton Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 Possibly up for sale...soon! I just don't wear it
lfovco Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Truly Amazing!!! This is must be a best custom build I have ever seen!!
