@relaxman - To get it to your ipad, I would imagine you would have to do it via iTunes?  Providing your iPad can read PDF format you should be fine.

You can also use Dropbox to get it on your iPad. Open it in the Dropbox App and either read it there directly or move it to iBooks (via the "Open in" menu).
