FxrAndy Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 something looks odd about the CG and the crystal http://www.ebay.de/itm/VINTAGE-ROLEX-SUBMARINER-1680-RED-LABEL-FROM-1970-START-FROM-1-EURO-/330663747744?pt=DE_Kleidung_Schmuck_Accessoires_Uhren_Armbanduhren&hash=item4cfd1860a0
Watchmeister Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 I agree. Looks like a real mishmash. But I look forward to other expert opinions.
Justasgood Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 RedSub on my bench: My Bench: The ebay case and bezel look very odd.....
Ronin Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 I think it is ~okay~. Clearly the case has been polished, and the crystal Polywatched. Judging from the date disc, the watch has been well worn and "serviced" multiple times. Crystal may be aftermarket, but who cares as that is user serviceable. Crown looks like a 702.
Watchmeister Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Crown looks good to me. CG's look odd. What do folks think of the dial?
praetor Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 the dial looks to be fresh out of the oven, at least thats the only way I know how to turn the font brownish
Ronin Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 the dial looks to be fresh out of the oven, at least thats the only way I know how to turn the font brownish Ahh good catch. Now I think something is up here. Re-Dial that has been cooked, and a myrid of gen parts.
Jkay Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 the dial looks to be fresh out of the oven, at least thats the only way I know how to turn the font brownish excellent catch .. good eyes.
Watchmeister Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 I am not knowledgeable enough to know whether every part is gen but I would pass as I don't believe that is an all original watch so I would have no idea what I am buying.
