Cats Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Just got this wonderful 029 today. After a few hours a noticed that the crystal doesn't sit flat in the case Can it be fixed easily without opening the case getting the crystal out and re-press it in again ?? Thanks for the advice Cats

gianton Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Have in mind that 029 has a double sided AR in the crystal, you have to be careful not to scratch the AR on the top.
silversx Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Oh god another 029. When i had my 029 from noob same issue. I have a crystal press and pressing down does not help because as many of us from RG found out the uneven problem is cause by the gasket underneath getting bunched up. Only solution is to remove movement and press crystal out. Fix gasket but most likely need a new one that isnt crap and press crystal back in. Pain in the ass might as well live with it. This happens to 9 out of 10 noob 029m. I dont know why but they must have a cross eyed guy pressing crystal
