projectologist Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Tight crop from a wrist shot yesterday, so a little grainy. More pics and macros to follow of this amazing franken... not mine, but get to hang with it for a bit... thank you SERGEANT_AT_ARMS See post #9 for some more pics.
maxman Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I too could very easily learn to live with that white dial....very easily Indeed. Mike
projectologist Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 I too could very easily learn to live with that white dial....very easily Indeed. Mike That's the problem when you get a taste of gen, in this case you're looking at gen dial and hands... I'm in love...
projectologist Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 what is this? Build details here... http://www.rwg.cc/topic/139366-franken-pre-vendome-–-5218-207a-1996-slytech-daylight

SERGEANT_AT_ARMS Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Great shot B! Crown is also a gen Pre-V. If you look closely you can see the concentric rings in the subdial, they aren't visible to the naked eye.
SERGEANT_AT_ARMS Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Friend.....You got SKILLZ!!! WOW

PeteM Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 As always those pics are awesome R...... I really hate you !!! I never liked the white dial but I recently got a gen white T dial and got to say I really like it...... I hate to admit this but its my current watch of choice... I keep getting drawn back to it... especially in a combo with the Vero squalo in grey I got off Dirk... But the ST is a real step up to that again so I know just what you mean R...
HauteHippie Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Well I'll tell ya.... there'd be no "learning" involved if I had that piece... I just plain love it!!
Watchmeister Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I don't have a Pre-V but I also really like the earlier white t dials. The whole dial finish is very different from later white dial models. The gloss on the dials makes the fat black numbers jump off the dial.
Jurgenk Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Love the details and crispness of the lettering. Looks almost like porcelain in those pics.
penerai1950 Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 wow!! it is a very nice watch. Btw, could you let me know what much it cost to build this watch? I am looking forward to buy one of this if the price is within my reach. Cheers.

Looks almost like porcelain in those pics. Good eye. The dial's surface does indeed look like porcelain. Very glossy as well as the lettering. I've been going a little crazy trying to capture it with a pic
