mpierce4131 Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Newbie... How can I reach BK to send him a PM? I've brought a blue/black dial from TT and would love to have the correct GMT function with jump hand.
sneed12 Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Every modded 2836 I've seen come out of the factory has had the jumping GMT hand for at least the last 2-3 years. I doubt yours is any different. A 2893 will be functionally the same.
panerai153 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 The only difference between the two I would guess is the 2836 is not a GMT movement, but uses a gear off the "day" function gear to provide the GMT function. The 2893-2 is a purpose built GMT from the ground up. It's a great, very robust movement and is used in almost every GMT watch that doesn't have an in house movement.
