I'm really into this one, but I'm a bit concerned about the size. Does it wear much bigger than a 44mm PAM? I have no problem wearing the 44mm, I find it more "forgiving" than many other 44mm watches. If this 47mm is also forgiving, then I might get away with it ..

My wrist is 18,5 cm wide, I find the fiddy very comfortable compared to a 44mm PAM.

As far as I am aware, the gen 127 is blue, but the gen 217 is not.

Probably a purple hue don't think Pam ever used blue hue ar but purple yes

But the old rep ar was like a tinted glass not the same and looked very fake

Not bad but changed it right away. Gunny 74 suits the best this watch!!!

I'm not familiar with Gunny, but I agree it is super nice! Is it the same 24mm width straps for Fiddy as for base PAMs?

No..the Fiddy has a 26mm lug width.

Rep strap appears to be of good quality but it is stamped

Paneran on the back not Panerai

Also it smells nothing like leather should

Still trying to decide if the watch is too big for me

Wrist size about 7 1/2 and it seems borderline for me

i have old school 127, i always thought its too big , and i kept hitting it when walking around. Tried to sell it, but it had problems. So i just wore it and got the MOST compliments than any of my other watches. So decided to keep it.

only problem now is, the crown guard screws stripped, got to send it out to get fixed. I also have it on gunny . looks nice. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ilyailya few pics of it.
