andyaudi42 Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 This is the QC pic that i got, I'm pretty sure that most of the markers and number indicies on the lower half of the bezel dont line up, and it would be hard to fix with relume. I think it should be closer to this...
Watchmeister Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 Totally agree. Don't take that one. Ain't no amount of lume that is going to fix that mis-alignment. That is the first one I have seen that is "half right " and half wrong.
oz993 Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 I'm onto my third round of QC. First two were similar to yours. I get the feeling they're just recycling the rejects to see if they can get rid of a few.
torobravo Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 The watch looks good, there is an optical illusion also and the bezel can be rotated even 0.001 mm and than it would be OK. Remember that the size is the same on each and every inner bezel so it should be an almost perfect fit...
redwatch Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Did you only receive one picture? That would be somewhat odd. If you have other pictures it could confirm Torobravo's suggestion that it is an effect of crystal distortion. Other pics would definitely help sort this out.
Watchmeister Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 It would be interesting to see additional pics. Now I am curious. I could see it if markers looked more uniformly off but can't envision top half aligned and bottom half misaligned. I have seen weirder but am curious. I know Toro sells these pieces so he would know.
andyaudi42 Posted May 27, 2012 Author Report Posted May 27, 2012 i received the whole lot of pictures, the pic taken from further away (straight on the dial) also confirms this misalignment. I rejected it as soon as i opened the pictures. Going for number 4! This was the zoomed out pic. Asian movement. i actually switched my order from swiss to asian after reading a few posts about each type
PAM_SWE Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Let me guess, this is a swiss selita version? What would be the difference more then the obvious (movt) ?
alanytical Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 It must be difficult to be a dealer, with all of the rejects to deal with.
Anakone Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 What would be the difference more then the obvious (movt) ? I think he is implying that people who buy the sellita are more picky.
Jkay Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 It must be difficult to be a dealer, with all of the rejects to deal with. The dealer will sell them to someone else who is not as critical.
bertieng Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 It's hard to accept that's a sapphire distortion considering the crystal is basically dead flat, and with AR too! The factory really has to look into this issue and correct it. It is not going to help to speed up the long waiting queue. They know these assemblies are defective and still try to get a pass by luck, it's just a waste of time and it's not really fair on their customers who have been so royal with patience to wait and paid full in advance for the watch. Obviously from the pics the defective part is the inner bezel, why can't they just throw these junk parts into the trash and save everybody's time!? QC 4 times still have problems is outrageous, this kinda put me off in actually ordering one at this time.
bertieng Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 This one looks better. When you turn the inner bezel anti-clockwise to get the triangle line up in the middle, the makers should align ok.

My guess is it is fine but just ask the dealer to reset the inner bezel.
denisegold Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 +1. line up the marker at 12 correctly and then look. My guess is it is fine but just ask the dealer to reset the inner bezel. I accepted this one but rejected the first Hublot. So the waiting game begins fresh.
andyaudi42 Posted May 28, 2012 Author Report Posted May 28, 2012 it would be nice if Noob factory had the same technology that H factory has for the Hublot Diver. That bezel ring is pretty good
cib0rgman Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 I accepted this one but rejected the first Hublot. So the waiting game begins fresh. this one is also missaligned, if the twelve oclock marker is aligned the rest will not
denisegold Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 this one is also missaligned, if the twelve oclock marker is aligned the rest will not It's not, camera angle. I had them reset and retake five pics.
Anakone Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 It seems like QC in general with Angus is slipping. I ask for a timegrapher pic before they send it with my order number on it and they send me some pic of what looks like a different watch on a timegrapher with no number. The movement looked perfect but it seemed too good to be true. I ask again and they send a a picture of another watch on another timegrapher still without the number with a different reading. Really bizarre.

If you email Angus directly with the details he will square you away.
