cc33
Thanks, ordered from dw, he used to be a trusted dealer but has now apparently taken money from people and not sent their item... I of course didn't know that until after I sent him 380$ by western union. I thought I had lost my $ but on Friday this puppy showed up. The pics don't do it justice its gorgeous. I'm even thinking of buying a real 18k gold rivet bracelet to really make it perfect, very expensive but worth it I think, for the extra weight and correct bracelet like on the gen
relaxman
Congrats !! I've had my eyeball on one of these for sometime. Glad to see it all worked out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

rek001
That is absolutely gorgeous, enjoy it. I'd love to get one from DW but I'm worried that I won't get anything.
freddy333
Congrads. I am not normally impressed with (yellow) gold watches, but there is definitely something about a vintage Daytona that warms the cockles
cc33
I know what you mean, I don't like yellow gold normally but it really works on the older daytona's. Thanks and beautiful watches you've got there!
Donerix 2.0
Wow, this looks a lot better than I thought it would .... might have to send some money DW's way hoping he is back on track. I actually never had a problem with him. Everything I bought from him was OK and delivered in reasonable time.
Donerix 2.0
Question now is, how to age this baby without loosing all the gold ... wondering how thin the layer is?
cc33
Seems like its thick enough though I wouldn't try doing that to a gold plated watch. I'm sure you know what you're doing. I actually scratched it on the side, tiny scratch, and I thought the steel would show through but its still gold under the scratch so that's good. kbh
Looks a lot like the current offering from JAW. For a mere $18,500. That's what I first thought it was.
cc33
Well, I wouldn't pay that kind of money but for 380$ I'm in love.
Donerix 2.0
The gen bracelet would be a great improvement .... as for the aging, maybe just wear it every day

lhooq
So DW is back, eh? Should I even bother contacting him or does my $200 in cash (plus $1-200 in parts) remain a writeoff? Great-looking watch, though. This is the correct bracelet and a pic of the gen Note that the 'gen' pic is actually a DW that belongs to Silverspeed ( I think). cc33
Lol, I got that pic on the internet with the thought that there were no reps of it... Guess I wasn't the first, darn. Anyways yes David does seem to be willing to do business. I asked him if he had a pn version and he claims to have the one in this picture. I'm sending him the $ today, can't help myself. Did those 2 pics of the yellow gold 6241 PN above come from DW or is that a gen?
Akira
Did those 2 pics of the yellow gold 6241 PN above come from DW or is that a gen? It's a gen. I can't remember the site, but it's pretty famous for selling incredible rare gen Rolexes
cc33
He's exactly right those two pics are from that site, David said he had the gold pn dial so I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to get, weather it will be in a case with pushers or screw down's but I'm taking a shot again, ill post pics when it arrives.
