greekgod Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 BAN this member... on grounds of inflicting mental pain!
theflyingdutchman Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Did you buy a brown one or a black strap?
997 s Posted July 18, 2012 Author Report Posted July 18, 2012 This is medium brown When i saw it on Ebay it looked like dark b, but it is medium b P
Serge D Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 It didnt happen Ok, ok... It did happen. Very nice pickup, my first in wishlist after all the pams on that list.
theflyingdutchman Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 This is medium brown When i saw it on Ebay it looked like dark b, but it is medium b P May I ask whats the source? Gen AP? Who was the dealer?
997 s Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 As i wrote in the headline Andrew / Trusty Very fast communication and sent great QC pics He also modded the pushers. But i heard today that he is out of stock... Waitlist 4 weeks
moomooj Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Joshua @ PerfectClone informed me that this watch is made by noob, which has been raided by the government. There are no stock at this moment, and no one can really say how long the wait will be. Does anyone know if any other factories make this updated version?
H1N1 Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Just ordered one also, but been told the same, the noob factory is now closed until god knows when....
rogerthat Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 If it has seconds at 12 and is a rep, it is/was made by the noob factory
theflyingdutchman Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Love it, sad that the V3 still has so many mistakes.... the missing silver lines on teh V2, where just one of many...
997 s Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 I am not a pro spotter but i think this version is great... Silver outline, nice structure on the dial, logo looks good etc The datewheel is the only thing i can see is not like gen meanibg it is not centered and the font is bigger on the gen Is this the v3 or??? Enjoy th pics on the Gen strap
mt666tm Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 ^The subdials are still not right. They should be slightly recessed into the dial and have a very specific whiteish-silvery color/texture. Very noticeable when you see the gen, hard to see in pics. The reps are just white. Still, the softer V3 waffle pattern and color + cream datewheel + silver surrounds are a big improvement. I wonder if you could shave down the base of the hour hand where it is mounted to the pinion to make the hand stack appear more like gen... ? Post up pics on that gen strap!

The larger hour hand base is a rep characteristic not many people bring up when comparing gen/rep AP ROOs in the forum. Yet to me, it is one of the obvious tells, having it smack in the center of the dial! I have asked my dealer the same thing before: Would it be possible to shave the base down such that the min hand and hour hand have the same size "base".. and gotten a negative reply. I wonder if it could be done on a DIY basis.
theflyingdutchman Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 ...and the case is 2-3mm to thick! The crown is not centered.... and more!
