woof* Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Sorry if there's already been a thread on this, but I hadn't seen this before. Ebay seller Mahand is familar to us for his Tudor dials, but I just noticed he's selling case sets for 5513's. Thoughts? Has anyone bought one? Seems about the same price range as Yuki. http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_3567wt_1398
jmb Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 The CGs suck, they look like the new "chunky" ones from a ceramic...
woof* Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 Yeah, I see what you mean. Someone posted this at VRM, I hadn't seen him selling these.
FxrAndy Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I tlooks like some one forgot to finish that case
alligoat Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 For a guy from Oklahoma City, you got to figure he has some chinese or other eastern connections. But I agree, that case needs some more finishing- like a lot!
panerai153 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Those are the worst CG's I've seen in a while! The whole case looks like it just came off the milling machine, hard sharp edges, no polish, no chamfered top
Mapman57 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Perhaps the idea is for the builder to 'finish the case ' to his own liking, or specification - as we all know, very few cases and CG's are the same after 30-45 years anyhow? There is no such thing as 'THE CG set' or finish Just a thought - I guess it depends on how accurate the case is dimensionally and its fitness for purpose with gen parts etc. Certainly pricey....................
Ephry73 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 I wonder if this is a DW case set. Hmmmm
highoeyazmuhudee Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 this case set is not worth the asking price
