Ar / Lume Service

Hello all,

Just stumbled across this site and thought I would post it up. I know there are a lot of people in the US looking for places that can do AR coatings and re-lumes. Unfortunately, they are not currently doing AR coatings at the moment (quote from their site “We are currently looking for another lab to do our AR coatings. When we secure another vendor to do the quality work that we demand, we will be able to offer this service again”), but it might be worth it to keep an eye out on the site. Looks like they are in Arizona

I know that he does quite a bit of business for customers from genuine watch forums. If you ask him if he works on reps, you should also ask him if he minds being mentioned on the rep boards.

Nice find!! The Zigmeister is and will continue to be my relume specialist of choice. But an AR source in Az would be superb!!!

The price for a dial relume is typically $78. Hands are typically $34. (12 Superluminova color choices.) Other services are quoted individually. Paypal is preferred. The minimum shop charge is $65.

Info is from the Everest Watchworks job order form.

Hmm... No response here either. AR - so close, yet so far!

Guys, don't give up on local shops, especially if you live in a large city--I went to many before I found a small, locally owned "franchise" store in a nearby Korean neighborhood who would do it--I haven't had occasion to use them yet (my 51 is with The Zigmeister awaiting a datewheel) but I'll update as soon as they do the job.

Perhaps orange lume on the B&R that will be coming out soon? And then a PVD job? :g:

i have a lead i'm going to check out this weekend,

anybody know the going rates for AR? and what people are willing to pay? also - how much of a pain is it to take the crystals out. If this guy does it, it would have to be through me. I don't have a crystal press - I don't even have an easy way to get my own crystals off - is this something difficult? for butterfingers?

Just got an e-mail back from Kent, and he says that he has no issues at all with woking on reps. He even sent me a couple of nice pics of 2 PAMs he did:

Happy to hear that this is his official position on reps. I've got 3 PAM dials with him now. I'll post up pictures when I get them back. :thumbsupsmileyanim:
