Shasta
YUG. Panerai moving in wrong direction Am I the only one doesn't like that GMT hand? Looks stunted, in need of a serious dose of Enzyte.

V
I think it UGLY... The only thing I like is the case (fiddy style) and the domed crystal.
dadog13
i don't like the dial with the little hand of the PR....but i like the case and the movement...pity they ruined the watch with that ugly PR...otherwise it would be a very nice watch! Quarks
Just came back from the Panerai event and had a feel on this watch. Very very nice. Not to the point that I would buy it but I can't say the same for swdivad. This bugger is smittened by this watch to bits. I remember hearing his words "I am gonna get this" about 5 times. Well, I am not that better off anyways... I was busy mumbling to myself how bad I want the 243 ... I was pestering one of the dealers to get the watch off the stand but luck is not on my side. Bugger. A very nice watch. If you do not like the GMT hand, u can hide it under the minute hand and voila, clean lookin' dial. I love the display back and the movement. I'm so gonna kick myself for not trying out winding the movement... ah well. I got to try a fiddy and I BLOODY LOVE IT.
Watchmeister
But I would choose a 187 over all the watches mentioned above.
Quarks
Funny that you mentioned that Warren. I almost traded my 187 away... and then I got a wicked strap that, somehow influenced me to put that idea on hold. And now, I count myself lucky having kept the watch 'cos I think this is a beautiful piece. 187, nothing like any other.
swdivad
Just got back from the Panerai event and yes, I wanna buy one... It's beautiful... Where else can you find a hand wound, eight day watch with a power reserve AND a GMT... OH AND a date!!! Nowhere, nohow, noway, nobody... Really nice watch albeit is a bit funky... I always like things that are beautifully ugly, sorta like me LOL Good to see you Q!
pannylovernr1
That's one sexy m*thf*kn watch, Please rep this beauty!
madasboot
I am totally with Swdivad. A good compromise between the historical design and modern requirements as a GMT function and date window. But thats only my opinion. Oh, BTW I am game to buy one of those as soon as its rep gets out.
Ptolomeo
I think it won't be easy to replicate the P2002 movement
docblackrock
Remember this from a while back when they first launched the p.2002. I appreciate the triple-barreled beauty of the movt, really I do, however IMHO the watch looks like it was designed by someone in the wrong job - it is cluttered and fussy, a bastard compromise between classic and modern design without any flair or complementary features...or to put it another way, like dressing Heidi Klum in Versace
Highflyingclive
I think it won't be easy to replicate the P2002 movement Won't be easy? It will be bloody impossible! The original has three mainsprings!

Murdoch
Well IMO they could just use another movement... I just like the looks of the watch and I really could live with it not having 8 days of power. I think the design looks like something Bang & Olufsen could have designed and I sure like what they do. I really hope a rep comes out.
