docdoowop
After work I stopped at my favourite pawnshop and found this litlle gem. Its apparently the owner of the pawnshop's and he tagged it at $995 but will sell it to me for $600 Is it worth it?

docdoowop
uuhh.... yeah...sorry The Citizen was in the way... Tudor it is. Year 1970 and some acronym engraved on caseback (retirement gift I suppose) Bracelet is folded links, Rolex signed, 19mm crystal is pretty nice considering its the original... fijikid
Seems like you're having a 'just because' moment. Have you actually been looking for one of these or did it just strike your fancy cuz there was finally a nice watch under his glass? If you really want one, $600 is not a bad price for this watch. It appears to be the 34mm model w/date. Fairly common and priced usually anywhere from $500 - $1200 depending on how delusional the seller is. If it's the jumbo version which is 38mm, then I'd say a very nice deal - though it looks more like the pedestrian 34mm version. Nice watch. permabull
Of course it's "from his private collection" - where have I heard that before - a well-worn salesman's phrase. I wouldn't be putting down $600 for it but if it's speaking to you, why not.
