the_rymeister
Hi all I'm currently in a position to buy a gen omega seamaster 300 chrono 2225.80 in blue or an aqua terra blue dial 2503.80 and am really stuck and need some input to help me deside Since I bought my gen 45mm planet ocean most of my reps havn't had a lot of wrist time so for the moment I'm selling a couple of reps to fund another gen. My dilemma is do I get the aqua terra as it is a beautiful watch which is very versatile with leather straps ect but quite similar to my planet ocean or do I go for something different and buy the smp chrono? The only problem I'm having with the smp is I need to try one on as I'm worried it will sit way to high on the wrist as it is a whopping 16mm thick Here are the two watches in question. Any help or thoughts would be great These aren't the actual watches I'm purchasing, just reference pictures.
ryaku
Buddy the SMP is a tank, it sits high on the wrist. I had a rep and I sold for that reason. The AT is an evergreen, you never get bored of her understated beauty. For me it's an easy choice.
bamcky2k
+1 aqua terra, you have a dive watch in the planet ocean xl-so something sporty yet totally different will add variety! im pretty tempted by the quartz model myself...seen one on sale where i live from £1750 to £1195...but after recently forking out on my gen superocean i dont think the missus will be too chuffed...then again what she dont know wont hurt her :-P

cougar1
I love those old Aqua terras, getting harder to find them in good nick now but they are great. I used have the white/blue and white/gold. Sorry I got rid of them. The blue dial you chose is one of the nicest most versatile ones.
jcagara08
I say go for the gen smp chrono mate, the design itself is legendary..it already has made a mark in the dive watch category since the 90's and onwards. .it isn't very tall in height as compared to the new smp chrono 9300 and you will love how versatile the look of it will be. It can go with a suit as well as shorts. Here's my rep with the gen bezel assembly; Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
krustybrand
I have an older gen SMP Chrono that I bought several years ago in person from a member here (on the old board iirc back in '06 I think it was). I love it on the blue rubber strap with the deployant clasp. It is not overly bulky at all. I think it has a nice presence on the wrist.
