How is this even possible? He is highly spoken of and has to know his watches. Maybe I'll go by one of his stores and sell him some of mine personal collection

I don't get it too... Haeffner is a reputable seller. And the watch comes with original box and papers.

Lets start with the biggest

Date font is not correct, date window too close to the inner bezel and no round pushers as gen

The gen has no hole in the buckle

The pusher and crown are aligned the crown is lower in the gen

Hour hand is too thick at the center, mid case too thick, caseback too thick, wrong dw background colour, wrong font, + all of the flaws mentioned above

 

He is a reputable seller indeed and in my opinion he has been had. I will await his reply, so far we should give him credit and wait with reporting him, no?

Great spotting, not the first time I've seen something like this. It's crazy when it happens and you'd think a reputable dealer would give it more than just a once over but sometimes they don't. I'm sure it happened recently with a well known UK watch dealer and a Breitling...but that was obviously much cheaper than this one!

AD is trying to pull a fast one on unsuspecting buyer. Makes you wonder how many have been victimized by this. No way the AD not know that its a rep.

Any follow-up on this one? Did the seller answered any of you guys? The watch was sold for 18,480 EUR!
