Erict719
As promised, pictures of my new tc dial installed! so was it a upgrade ? I don't think so really. They are the same.. the flaw of unmatched size dial marker is still there. BUT! the the QC of tc dial is prefect. the lume is more even and flat. guys, my wm9 dial will be for sale, pm me if you want it. I also have a set of brand new tc hands. alligoat
I missed this over the weekend- I was off fishing! So I guess it's a somewhat even swap- oh well- at least you tried!.
highoeyazmuhudee
did you keep the wm9 hands on the sub? TC hands vs WM9 hands?
Erict719
yup.. Wm9 hands as is. tc hands I didn't use them. I really can't tell if tc or wm9 hands are any different. basically this is a not necessary upgrade. but at least I tried. Lol if I could find a way to put gen hands on 2824-2 I will get a gen dial in some day!

automatico
"as long as the gen hands have smaller holes then its doable." You can usually go about a tenth of a mm depending on how much material is left. The hands have a collar on them so they will stay tight and not slip or fall to one side...cut all the collar away and the hands will not stay tight and level. Eta 28xx...H 1.50mm M .90mm S .25mm rlx 3035/3135...H 1.4mm M .95mm S .22mm They are pretty close. Tightening hour and minute hands is not nearly as easy as broaching them. The 3035/3135 minute hand will/might need to be closed somehow and I have lightly dimpled the collar in four evenly spaced places around its diameter on the back side and it worked Ok. This is not good practice, especially on expensive hands. If the hands are later models often claimed to be 'solid gold', they will be very fragile. Erict719
I find the hands to be very easy to be scratched.. too risky
