AP Diver V2 VS newer models

Hi guys,

 

I always wanted a AP Diver in my collection and now I found one online via member 2 member sale. It's a V2 but what are the difference between the V2 and the newer models? This V2 has an Asian clone 2836-2 movement.

V2: best inner bezel of all, wrong font on the dial, need relume on the inner bezel

V3: best case, best caseback, correct cyclop shape with blue AR, correct font on the dial, lumed inner bezel but thin font

V3.5: same as before more colorless AR

V4/4.1: fatter bezel font

Pretty much correct. The V2 also has the wrong date and date cutout but as above, imho the best inner bezel font.

I've got a Vac Modded V2 mate and it's my first foray into AP brand.........it's stunning   I'm not too worried about the tells as the relume and AR mods make it 'feel' Gen

Now is the perfect time to jump into the Diver...they are cracking good reps.  the V2 is still a good rep on its own but since we are all anal here....everyone wants the newest, latest, bestest...(that's not a word)

V2 has wrong font, wrong dial markers, wrong bezel, wrong case, wrong date window, wrong strap, ...

I suggest you look for a V3, V3.5, V4 or V4.1
