GMT Recommendations, please!

I am looking to acquire an automatic GMT, with stainless bracelet.  I'm interested in the "scalability" of the piece as much as the aesthetics.  Meaning, I want to get something that looks and works great right "out of the box" (I like the Planet Ocean GMT, and the PAM North Pole especially), functions accurately AND is compatible with the maximum of GEN parts for hybridizing.  For instance, the Omega that seems to accept (with some retooling) a GEN HEV, crown/stem, dial/hands.  I am especially fond of the "tool diver" look.  I'd appreciate any and all feedback on this topic.

Hi and welcome. It seems You would like to really use the GMT function. After owning the Aquaterra GMT, Explorer II and a PAM with GMT function I figured You really need a rotating bezel, a bi-coloured bezel (day/night instead of 24h reading) and an independently adjustable GMT hand - only the conjunction of the three really gives all the needed options. That for me leaves either the Batman or the Coke GMT from Rolex as an option someday, for the time being the ones I have will do and I like them a lot. They just are not the best option to do the job.

Apart from that, both You mentioned are great watches. Go for the one You would use most first, the Omega probably being the more versatile all-round watch. The Mike Horn Pam 252 will be a more exclusive eye-catcher but will come on a rubber-strap so You will have to get a leather strap and bracelet extra.

The thing I love about this Noob v2 is it's impeccable fit and finish. This is the first (rep) watch I've ever owned that felt as if it came from a workshop with first rate QC. The dial is impeccable, everything aligned properly, CG lever has correct resistance and closes with a positive snap, even the lug bars are buttery smooth with all threads measured so each bar is appropriately sunken in at the same depth. I'm starting to understand why Marlin will only mod Noob watches... 6asuzury.jpg
