KB Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 A very sad day, even though we all knew it was coming. Ken
Uberscreamer Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 A great man indeed, wish more people in this world cared as much about other people's freedoms and rights as he did... I was a bit distraught by my friends on Facebook today, since I realized there were more posts about the death of Paul Walker the other day than for Mandela's passing today. Sure, we all expected his end to come soon enough with his failing health and all, but I like to think that my friends are a bit more 'enlightened' than the average amongst my age group. I guess I was wrong.
astonjenks Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 On the train home from the City of London one of my fellow commuters got the news via twitter and shouted the sad news to everyone! Within seconds another commuter started singing 'free, Nelson Mendela' it was an incredibly poignant moment! Rest we'll Mr Mendela, your work here is done. Best regards Andy
netniet Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Indeed, a great man is gone, but hopefully his legacy stay with us forever
