Guest Daytona1984
As promised here are some pics of my Franken Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Safari with the following features: - gen dial - gen tachymeter bezel - gen hands - Swiss ETA 2890-2 with highly refined Dubois-Depraz module (not the cheap LWO DD module) - Edge custom date wheel - black date window outcut - AR cyclope - AR crystal - recessed crown position - thinner caseback - modding the gaskets - rounded pushers - many other modifications like recuting all screw threads etc. - mikey deployment buckle - Hamilton Leather hornback strap This watch was built by my friend and great watchmaker Domi I hope you enjoy the pics and I welcome all comments
scotty
Beautiful!! A dumb question. Does the gen dial have any lume?

Guest Daytona1984
the lume on the gen dial and hands are quite poor due to the black lume which is used...
theflyingdutchman
VERY nice...master making piece! And what did this cost you?
panerai153
I believe the Safari is going to be my next purchase. I've been looking at a lot of Safari photos, and this is the best yet!! beautiful watch and wonderful photos. I'm sure you have a fortune in this one, considering all the gen parts and the bulletproof movement. Still only a fraction of the cost of a gen. I'm still very much an AP noob, but with Rolex It's pretty much not considered a franken unless the dial is genuine, yours definitely qualifies for super franken status, for sure. oberblender
[censored] amazing! Damn... I somehow feel that I need one of those, but can't quite justify to spend that money on a franken. Amazing work... somehow it is even more special than a gen...

watchpt
I also have a question about the movement. I always thought you needed the 2892 with the dd module.
Guest Daytona1984
the most important part is the dd module. as long as you find a movement which can carry the dd module, everything is fine I also have a question about the movement. I always thought you needed the 2892 with the dd module.
