and I'm not sure if I should think of this one (since its not real Rose gold and Im scared it will wear off and you'll be able to tell its a replica, would love to hear what you think about that as well) -

Hi and welcome. My personal fav would be the Safari but the Montauk looks great too. Imho the AP Diver V5.1 or V6 in SS has even more "gen-like-feel" than the APRO 15400. The best 15400 version is the one with the Myota in SS (3 screws in the center of the rotor/ caseback).

For rosegold the plating is quite resistant but again talking about the Chrono here http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=18_50&product_id=699, even members who have the gen say it´s fantastic and the only difference is weight, saw some awesome pics of that one.

Good choices:)

My favorite AP's are the Diver, FC Diver, Chronopassion, and my 44MM FC on GEN GP Strap...that one is just so damn sexy. Oh and of course the 44MM SS Chrono (Panda) is a killer as well.

He asked for which AP to buy, not which APs you own. :D

Hi, the AP Diver is a fantastic feeling and looking watch. The actual best version V6 is here http://www.torobravo...&product_id=699, Most members order an extra hornback strap from one of the forum strapmakers (Donerix and others) for it as they are not too satisfied with the straps those come with (except the rubber or SS).

And in another week a brand new "best ultimate" carbon version of the sec at 12 Chrono/ yellow encased dial will be released - the Bumblebee for....$788

"Close to gen" is a relative term. Truth be told I've had the 57th street for a few months now and I've only worn it once or twice. I have so many AP's that there are only a few that I rotate.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again: Goddamn your photo taking abilities are out of this world.

not sure about that one, but it's really nice.

Here is the Rose Gold Diver, it's a fantasy model, as none of the divers have open case backs, also the only genuine gold diver has a gold bezel, not the ceramic like this one. It's a really comfortable watch, has great wrist presence, and mine gets a lot of wear. Gold plating is very durable, and shouldn't be a problem if you don't abuse it, or polish it vigorously with abrasive polishes.

Here's mine.

WOW!!! your pics are amazing!!! and that white strap is gorgeous !!! where can I get it from ?

Just pulled the trigger on a V6 diver from Toro. These slabs of steel really have grown on me. Fingers crossed the QC will be good!

Post pics when you get it. The diver is a great watch.

I will, just rejected the first qc. Markers were all misaligned with the dial. New incoming tomorrow.

It's clear to me in the lume that the triangle marker at 12 isn't TDC this would drive me insane. Fine details like font you wouldn't notice but symmetry is important to me. Am I being pedantic?
