Guest aclaimsman Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Here is my version of a crystal press. It works pretty well for those of us to cheap to purchase one.
Richard Tracy Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Hey... you gotta do, what you gotta do.... I've done it with less finess than that.... cutting board, heavy book, towel and a slam of my fist..

leeson43 Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 semi off topic: how do you get the crystal out; i want to rotate mine by a mill and its been put in a bit sloppy?
KenMc Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Looks okay, but I want to see how you put the corks in yo' moonshine bootles.
alligoat Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 @ aclaimsman Is that a piece of PVC pipe in there on top of the crystal? You could even notch it out to go over the cyclops. Pretty ingenious!
Guest aclaimsman Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Yes that is a piece of PVC that I cut to fit. The picture does not show, but if you look at the black line on the PVC, it has a small notch to fit over the cyclops. Pretty weird looking, but it works in a pinch.
