Bc1221
hrmm. i dont think you can put a plexi on a modern sapphire case.... if anything, you could do a 16800 build.

panerai153
I'm not sure you are going to be able to build a 1680. Sort of the old " you can't get there from here". Sapphire case set, can't change to acrylic, don't think a 1680 dial will fit a 16610 case, or whatever those modern cases are from.just too many incompatible parts. This may turn out to be a lesson in futility, but you learn from every project. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
blackoyster
Hmmmmm.... Is this not possible to fit a plexi in this case? I was thinking all the plexi are able to fit with a Little Adaptation??!! And the dial is a Problem??? Why? So i got to Look a Lot of pictures from a 1680... Send from comandantes Operative phrase..."with a Little Adaptation??!!" One can do anything...given enough time and money. Might not be the budget route, though. blackoyster
What diameter got a 1680 dial??? Is it not 29mm??? Send from comandantes
panerai153
What diameter got a 1680 dial??? Is it not 29mm??? Send from comandantes No the 1680 is either 26mm or 26.5 mm so the modern cases are not the same size as the old 1680 cases.
