Both are Ti, personally I like the blued hands of the 172, but the 564 is newer and might be a better rep... choices need opinions, so please add yours. StormTooper4 Posted October 7, 2014 Report Share Posted October 7, 2014 The 172 is very nice and the blue goes well with the polished bezel. These are hard to come by and no longer in production . The Tantalum is a bit darker than Titanium . There is only a few self made "old school "copys and even they are not near prefect( I have one) My last orde was 564, from front it is good, back side.... as usually- open caseback and fake P5000 mov is 100% screaming that is is not gen! Pontiaddict Posted October 7, 2014 Author Report Share Posted October 7, 2014 Thanks for all of the input, so far the 564 is preferred; the tobacco dial and distressed Leather are a great look unlike anything I currently wear, plus it has the benefit of being a new model so, just waiting for an answer from a TD now... @superlative: I looked for the 040 but could not find it available form the dealers listed, it is another nice looking Ti alternative, thanks for the mention.
