What happened to that other site?

I thought that was supposed to be later , first part of next week. maybe they had everything ready and decided to move forward with the upgrade.

The server upgrade was supposed to take place on Monday. But as I suggested in the General discussion thread, there is always the possibility that matters deteriorated rather rapidly forcing the upgrade to take place sooner than was planned.
