dbane883
I've had a chance to take some close ups of the rehaut on my gen SubC. It's laser engraved in such a way that the depth will look different as it hits the light. At some angles, it appears that the letters are deeply etched in the middle of the fonts: However, at another angle, the center of the letters is in fact not hollow; but rather matte/flat which contrasts with the horizontal grains of the outer satin finish:
whoopy12
Some purty pictures you got there Y As always, amazed with your breakdown of details like these
dbane883
And here is a closeup of a Noob V3/4 case that I have lying around. It's quite laughable really: Texture is all wrong. Letters are not even centered. Disgusting. But i suppose not many people will inspect with a 15x loupe to notice

pam007
Great pictures.. This shows you the attention to detail that Rolex takes to be able to charge you an arm and a leg. Or maybe just 1 leg.
sacsah1
I wish you would have taken macro pictures of my rehaut. V3 case at one point came with the proper rehaut.
automatico
Wonder if rolex ever laser etched numbers/letters between lugs before they went to bezel numbers? My P716xxx and K933xxx Air Kings look like the numbers/letters are engraved like older models. They are the latest watches I have looked at closely and are from around 2000/2001 or so. Jonathanwalker84
Very cool pictures. I've heard the same regarding the v3 rehaut being better. Unfortunately I have a V4 so have the poor engraving.
curiousbunny
Most people would never notice it. TC sub is the only acceptable sub. Too bad it doesn't come with yuki 3135.
