Gav_tt225 Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 She's been on at me to get this watch for her but I'm not sure about it. Not sure about the datejust rep quality either. Anyone help would be appreciated. http://www.trusty-watch.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_12&products_id=10483
alligoat Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 This is a full sized DJ- 37mm, which would be 36mm on the gen. This is the man's size but women wear it also. I don't know about the 6 and 9 being real diamonds and the bezel is CZs also- probably. Movement is probably the Asian 2836, but there's not much you can do about that these days. I personally would consider $348 cheap if it would keep my wife happy, but I would doublecheck about the size with her. A lot of women wear the 31mm boys size and then there's the ladies DJ which is 26mm.
Gav_tt225 Posted January 13, 2015 Author Report Posted January 13, 2015 Thanks for the advice alligoat. Luckily she likes larger watches and with all that bling it does look quite feminine too. Think I better pull the trigger on this one for her.
sgtguk Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 36mm watch looks great on women imo, seen lots of 40mm on ladies too she will love it no doubt
Guest REPPIN Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 I got my wife the 31mm midside datejust from a trusted dealer. Its a really nice piece its just got the diamond dial, not the diamond bezel. And Surprisingly its a pretty nice watch...It doesnt hurt that its so small either...harder to see the faults LOL!
droptopman Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Do not know your budget but mymanmatt does some great custom DD/DJ builds in both men's and women's sizes. He built me a 36mm for a friend with real diamond dial and bezel, turned out great. Also a woman's 26mm DJ franken for another friend. Personally I think a 36mm looks great on my wife. She likes to wear my DJ.
Gav_tt225 Posted January 14, 2015 Author Report Posted January 14, 2015 Yep it looks like this is the one then. Thanks for the input guys, hopefully this should keep her happy for a few weeks lol.
dieselpower Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 "a few weeks" - I love an optimist!
