Mendota Explorer Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 New dial and gen hands!!! 6538 OMG, more pics please! I would love to see a thread highlighting this masterpiece.
cc33 Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 I've made too many threads on this build! I only swapped the dial and hands this time around.. Just to recap its a Phong cased 6538 with a gen band, bezel, insert, t17, crown, 1030 movement and now hands. special custom gilt dial. Few more pics from today
Nanuq Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 @dbane, do my eyes spy what I think I see in your build? Verrrrrrrrrry tasty indeed! @cc33, you've done it again. Absolutely spectabulous.
Mendota Explorer Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) Wow. I'm speechless. That is really something special. I wish that all of you big crown experts lived closer to me so I could come see them and hold them in person. This is true excellence. I especially love the red depth on the dial. It's one of my favorite 6538 dial variants. What a classy piece. Truly an heirloom. Is the tip of the minute hand touching the rehaut? Edited March 24, 2015 by Mendota Explorer

It isn't touching no, it's a hair past the minute track but is exaggerated by the superdome t17
