Cartel 1665 Double Red Sea Dweller- a wonderful base for modifications

Hello friends of Vintage Watches!

Here my last mod, a 1665 Double Red Sea Dweller, hope you like it;-)

1) Dial and Hands reluming:

2) Full case reshape and lug holes drilled for 2mm bars:

3) Case mat brushed and insert Fading:

They all load fine for me.

Excellent work with this!  I love it.  Very nice build.  Do you have any plans to replace the crown with a gen or Athaya?

Hi, Thank You. Unfortunately not! I have this watch built for joyful and he wanted to have the price as low as possible! So I have the existing crown reworked!

Great piece buddy, the DRSD is not my cup of tea but the cartel cases have become a great base!

a lot of work, but not bad at all. good job, fun times.

better dial and hands will bring it to the next level

Very nice!! Lots of work, and it shows. He has a good wearer, and the nice thing, the modding on these can be incremental. Wear it as is, and later if he wants, a gen or athyea crown, better dial/hands and next thing you know he has one that is right up there !!
