HauteHippie Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 I am going to see what I can do about getting partial lot pricing for an early run. The AR guy is very willing to work with us. He has often times large orders end with a split lot final run which could free up some space in the machine for a small run. This would help bring pricing down, but also, it would be a longer turn time because he'd have to hold our crystals until the space freed up on an already-scheduled run for another customer.....
HauteHippie Posted January 16, 2007 Author Report Posted January 16, 2007 OK... Partial lot pricing.... Best we can do is $40/crystal for 20 crystals. But the turn time for this type of run would be longer - probably 2-3 weeks. We're basically sharing machine time with other paid orders as there is free space. It lowers the cost (a little) but increase the turn time. If we have 20 non-cyclops crystals (or crystals with cyclops that don't want to wait for the 7mm cyclops), then we can go ahead ASAP!
Craytonic Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 It would be great to do the early run...
flavor flav Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 cheiftang.... just give us the green light and i'll ship out five
flavor flav Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 i'll have five including craytonic's....i was going to do my SMP chrono but i sold it!

Defender110 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 i would be insterested in just sending the lab my crystals direct even if it cost more. are they wiling to do this?
maxse Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I am down for a Breitling Bentley GT crystal. I will have to send it to someone to remove the crystal though, but I am down.
HauteHippie Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 FYI the current lot of crystals getting AR coated have already been shipped to the coater. The next run will hopefully take place next month some time.
b16a2 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I'l definitely be in for the next run! Cheers Chieftang!

HauteHippie Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 i need 2 to get ar coated, so that´s 36? correct me if i´m wrong Like I said, a group of crystals have already been sent to the coating company. So, we'll start over with a new group of crystals for the next run. The magic number is 20 and the price is $40 USD each.
rogerthat Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Count me in for 1 when you do the next batch. 2 sided Cheers, M
yellomen Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 @Chief... is it also possible to get the blue-ish double-sided IWC Ingenieur AR coating?
HauteHippie Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 @Chief... is it also possible to get the blue-ish double-sided IWC Ingenieur AR coating? The coating is bluish. I've done my IWC Ingy double sided. In fact, I just received the first run of crystals back from the coater on Thursday. They turned out great.
Watchmeister Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Please share a few pics whenever you get a chance and let us know what the target date is. I suspect I can ensure you have enough crystals for the next run.
uziuzi Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Sounds great ! Please post some pics of the Ingy !!!!
HauteHippie Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 Sounds great ! Please post some pics of the Ingy !!!! It has been at The Zigmeister's for about 6 months. It originally had the chipped dial, so I had to obtain the replacement which took a while. Then I held off sending the new dial back to Rob knowing that I'd just want to AR coat the crystal anyhow. I'll definitely post pics when I get it back.... It'll be fully serviced, super lumed, and doubled AR'ed.... I can't wait to actually wear it. I haven't worn it since I got it!!! Based on my caliper measurements, I think there are 3 or 4 Ingy crystals in this AR run. So you might well see pics of other Ingys before mine!! Please share a few pics whenever you get a chance and let us know what the target date is. I suspect I can ensure you have enough crystals for the next run. You bet!!
