Nanuq Posted October 10, 2016 Report Posted October 10, 2016 I tackled Mt Baldy from my front door, it started out nice but in the 1 hour it took to reach the top it started sleeting. There was bear scat everywhere but we made it home in one piece. 2

Nanuq Posted October 10, 2016 Author Report Posted October 10, 2016 A big bear was eating a LOT of berries.
hcaht Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 Be safe out there. These photos are enough to make me look over my shoulder!
Nanuq Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 Oh I was... both dogs had their hackles up smelling the air... that's never a good thing. I was much happier on top above timberline where you can see a ways. Down in the Creepy Bear Alders my head was on a swivel! 2
QueTip Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 Great pics and awesome scenery but that last pic has got me lying on the floor. Oh yeah and of course (!) more than amazing DRSD

ceejay Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 Do you carry a gun/rifle when you're out there?
