Is that a Bubbleback C?

My watchmaker has a 1944 with small seconds sitting in a drawer. It was left in for servicing 25 years ago and never collected. I was told the small seconds are rare enough. He was willing to sell it but I tried it on and just could not feel like it suited me. It looks fine on your wrist though.

Yes it is P, it's a semi-bubbleback from 1953. :-) These are quaint little creatures, and do take some getting used to. I got it largely due to the 3-6-9 dial, and have been liking it more lately.

That said, everyday is a Rolex day! :D

A nice little piece of horological history there. The first stable automatic wrist watch :) Wear her in good health my friend.

Thanks brother it's a labour of love built up from ground up ;-) Phong case and bezel, v72, Aged Vietnam dial, gen coronet, crown, and mk3 pushers.

Absolut stunning watch, but i'm afraid that's a bit over my budget:cry:

That dial is what does it for me. Spectacular!
