mead861
I have a yuki 3135 and the date wheel sits a little low in the date window. I've never had this issue before. I was thinking about replacing the date wheel jumper but before I throw money at the problem I was wondering if anyone had some feed back? Here is a picture for reference:
mead861
After doing some research and removing the date wheel, it seems that the date wheel jumper, part number 3135-614, is noted shaped properly. The jumper is shown with the bottom arrow. I hope this fixes the problem, if not then I might need to replace the date wheel plate, part number 3135-600. occb2
It is the date wheel jumper. Before replacing it see if you can fix it. Add or sand or bend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mead861
I will try reshaping the jumper to see if I can fix it.
mead861
I could not reshape the jumper to right size to correct the alignment issue. I ordered a gen jumper and installed it. Same problem as before. I ordered a new date wheel. Keep your fingers crossed
occb2
It won’t be the date wheel if it is areal date wheel. I don’t think the date plate will work either. How is the dial? Who makes it? Try to borrow another dial.
mymanmatt
I've used a lot of gen date wheels on a yuki under a gen dial. Never had any problems. Several gen parts will fit the yuki I don't recall the teeth being painted on the gen date wheel. Maybe some are. The dial is not gen for sure
lorenzo1910
A bit OT... @mead861 Sorry I can't help you... but you can help me... That case and bezel are gen? If not where can I get them? Thank you!
mead861
I have not installed a gen date wheel. I just ordered it. The dail is a remanufactured one. Does it look bad? What are the signs. At think point I might sell the whole project. If someone is interested PM me. The case , case back are gen. mead861
Here is a better pic of the dial.
mymanmatt
That looks good. Are you maybe being a little too picky? I like that dial. A lot of gens have that dial, don't worry about it. In the picture it looks aligned to me. Nice watch!
mead861
I added a gen autoworks module. Still waiting on the new date wheel. In the middle picture you can see the difference between the yuki and Gen. When I received the autoworks it was bone dry. This is the first time I have disassembled and oiled any watch parts, but after studying youtube videos and oil charts everything came together and the rotor spins freely and silent.
mead861
It turns out my dial was a little off. I replaced the date wheel and the problem was still there so I removed one of the dail feet and that game me enough room to center the date. Vibes
Sometimes you can bend the dial pins to tweak the way it sits with relation to the DW.
