tframo Posted January 13, 2018 Author Report Posted January 13, 2018 Try to curve the tips a little bit on the top. That way it snap closed before putting the flip lock This worked great! Save me $1000 and frustration in almost buying a gen bracet. Thank you for the idea. 1

stüssi Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Hi all, I have the same watch. Does anyone have a contact in the EU for servicing the movement and installing the DW? Which is the best aftermarket DW? WSO? Thanks!
Pombok Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Ado is UK based and can service it for you. If you just want a date wheel replacement, feel free to PM me.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DVNE Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Just got mines in yesterday. They updated the datewheel font. Much thinner than the previous versions. 1

DVNE Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Nice, this is becoming a nice otb watch Such a bargain NOW compared to the last TC offering. It honestly is a great watch for the price. If I have a gen 16610, it would remain in the safe and I would waterproof this and wear it carelessly. All it needs now is a new caseback gasket (the one that comes with it is so thin and does nothing for water resistance) - Same with all of the previous JF 16610 versions.

What do you think about the updated DW and the crystal? Are you gonna leave it stock?
DVNE Posted January 17, 2018 Report Posted January 17, 2018 Nice picture mate, can you make a picture please With the 20 number ? thank you Much better but not perfect. Numbers do not have any serifs at all. I will be swapping a gen dw in.
tframo Posted January 17, 2018 Author Report Posted January 17, 2018 Other than the DW being updated, are there any other changes?
DVNE Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 Thank you mate, it’s a stock ARF 116234, it’s an amazing rep except the DW. Get those DW's. Super easy to swap too. Easier than swapping a DW on a ETA.
Hoganjin Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 Best is ln or le version ? Without rehaut obviously
Electric Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 Can someone please explain why a engraved vs non engraved is appealing??? I thought the non engraved was not accurate???Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pombok Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 Both engraved and non engraved rehaut are period correct depending on which year the watch would have been manufactured. It all comes down to personal taste. I actually prefer the rehaut engraved.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

janeto72 Posted January 21, 2018 Report Posted January 21, 2018 Yes..that is the problem. It just wont close and stay closed. It pops open too easy..even on its own most times...lol. 1
Electric Posted January 21, 2018 Report Posted January 21, 2018 Oh well that’s really quite an issue isn’t it? This isn’t mod-able?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
tframo Posted January 29, 2018 Author Report Posted January 29, 2018 Hey guys. I’ve gathered up my gen parts but quick question. Is it ok if I use a gen crystal with AR? I know it’s not period correct but I’m sure there are gen 16610’s our there that have been serviced and had crystals replaced. Right? or does RSC replace with non ar crystal? Thanks Iin advance for the advice
Champagnesky Posted January 29, 2018 Report Posted January 29, 2018 Just saw this thread, is it worth ditching my tc v6 and get the JF instead?Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk 1
