astonjenks Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 Here's another watch you don't see everyday! The latest Roger Dubuis Knights of the Round Table. Just fitted an aftermarket rubber on Easy Diver Deployant and have a blue gator on its way after being created by Mario (Orloff) This beauty will be up for grabs in a couple of weeks upon my return from Dubai! AJ 2
astonjenks Posted March 6, 2018 Author Report Posted March 6, 2018 Thanks Mike Will be up for grabs in a week or two with brand new blue gator. AJ
Legend Posted March 8, 2018 Report Posted March 8, 2018 Looks lovely.. you do have a penchant for blue dials my friend!
kernow Posted March 8, 2018 Report Posted March 8, 2018 Nice. Not for shy or retiring types though. Shame that the founder of Roger Dubuis, Roger Dubis himself died last year.
astonjenks Posted March 8, 2018 Author Report Posted March 8, 2018 It is as he was a very special horology genius. AJ
kernow Posted March 8, 2018 Report Posted March 8, 2018 Absolutely AJ. If my memory serves me right, he worked for years designing Patek’s movements.
astonjenks Posted March 8, 2018 Author Report Posted March 8, 2018 He did as well as Franck Muller, they took different directions, RD being more exclusive and gaining the reputation second only to Patek whereas FM went mainstream with 'ok' movements and selling en mass.
dadog13 Posted March 8, 2018 Report Posted March 8, 2018 I have the same blue dial KOTRT but V2 with the updates - small figures are bronze color rather than gold. It’s really a nice watch. I will follow this post to see the custom made blue gator strap which I am very interested in since the rep strap is not the best one..Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
astonjenks Posted March 10, 2018 Author Report Posted March 10, 2018 Ok so the beautiful hand made Orloff strap arrived this morning and is now fitted up and looks gorgeous. So comfy. I now have a gen RD box and the spare rubber and deployant buckle and she is up for grabs. Looking for $1k all in which is less than I now have in her with the box. AJ
philwongnz Posted March 13, 2018 Report Posted March 13, 2018 The gen is an amazing piece, I got given a loupe to look at the knights and the tiled ground, the details are very intricate.. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk 2
