Coronet on slide lock broke off

...on first open, with very little force. Didn’t even get the plastic off. 

 

 

Any fixes that will withstand use? How’s the real one done?

Hi,

 

Had the same problem, just clean the surfaces and carefully use epoxy glue (Two Part Mix type)

worked OK for me, no issues.

Use clear epoxy and give it time to cure- like 24 hours.

+1...maybe sand the coronoet en the spot where it used to be to get a better adhesive power

Yep as stated above. Clean and scuff both surfaces and clean with rubbing alcohol. Use a good clear two-part epoxy and not any of that quick dry stuff. You won’t need much. Like one drop. Attach the crown back on there and clamp it lightly or put weight on it and let it dry for 24 hours. It will never come off again.
