Athaya Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Hello guys, Got an offer to make a deal with this 1675. Seller inform that all parts are gen. I’m not very familiar with 1675, I hope can get advise if this oke is legit and good to go. Things that I had check and I know that are gen : Crown, Insert, Movement, and case. One thing I’m not really sure is the dial and hands, wether dial is gen and hands are not service one. Watch additional info : - 2.9M serial - MK1 dial (are this really a gen?) Nanuq Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Nope, that dial is crap. Compare with mine from 1962, note mine is the "radial" dial. I think the case is wrong too. Compare with mine at top right: My advice? Run away from it. 2
freddan Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Well they sure have done a massive job on weathering the case but i’m with nanuq on this one. It’s too thick. A 62 could be even a bit thinner than a 2.9 serial but mine from 69 is still way thinner than this one.
oldtools Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 The "O" in ROLEX is not level with the other letters. 1
Nanuq Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Always check the “E”s. Look how long the middle leg is and is it centered between the top and bottom legs... usually it’s not supposed to be. Usually. 1
Athaya Posted June 2, 2020 Author Report Posted June 2, 2020 Thx for the info guys. Already cancelled the transaction. Looks like it’s not my time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Virgil Hilts Posted June 14, 2020 Report Posted June 14, 2020 (edited) That's well-worn but legit 1675. Dial is definitely a legit Mk.1 "Long E" dial used from '67 to '71. I have a '67 GMT with same dial. And here's a pic of a loose Long E I recently sold for $3.5k. The "O" may look weird but that's how they rolled in that era. Case looks legit too. How the insert fits in the bezel is my only question, but if it's real it's worth a ton. That's a very fat font. How much did they want for it? Edited June 14, 2020 by Virgil Hilts

Thx for the info, a nice point of view.I know that the insert is original, but only worn bad on the bottom red part, it’s still able to be installed press on the bezel like how it should be. Regarding the price, seller ask for $10K.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Virgil Hilts Posted June 14, 2020 Report Posted June 14, 2020 If the movement is strong, that's not a bad price for a '71 with original dial.

Nanuq Posted June 14, 2020 Report Posted June 14, 2020 Well crap I’m sorry for misleading you about that dial. VH is as reliable a source as they come. 1
Virgil Hilts Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 (edited) I'm only semi-reliable and only on this one era. 🤣 But happy to help! I've learned plenty from a lot of the folks here. Edited June 16, 2020 by Virgil Hilts
HaydenM Posted June 17, 2020 Report Posted June 17, 2020 It's definitely a bit strange if that's all the photos you got given. If they took the caseback off you would think there would be a movement pic.
