avara Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Very nice The Zigmeister. Thanks for the great walk-trough.
Pugwash Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 I never realised how much work Rolex put into a simple 7750. Well, I say simple, but I mean complex. Nice work, Rob. Great story with wonderful pics.
lovepanerai Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 that looks fantastic Rob - it gave me a new appreciation of the SMP chrono and reaffirmed my already great confidence in your abilities
RWG Technical Posted February 10, 2007 Author Report Posted February 10, 2007 I never realised how much work Rolex put into a simple 7750. I was as surprised as you are, I thought it was a re-badging of an plain jane ETA, but it looks like a full disassembly, and fine polishing and upgraded parts...I like it. RG
woody Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 That is some fastastic work indeed. It really makes that that much closer to gen, all around........ Rob, I will try to get my BCE that I talked about shipped out to you tomorrow. Have a good weekend.
pitimany Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 (edited) Fantastic and detail as always. I have a Tudor movement just like that. This is a great idea. The Watch looks great. Thanks for sharing, P Edited February 10, 2007 by pitimany
By-Tor Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Beautiful work as usual. SMP chrono is one of my favourite reps too.

Watchmeister Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Fabulous piece. I wonder which movement is better made? The tudor or the gen Omega?
stilty Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Nice watch and fantastic movment! I'm sure it looks stunning in real life, cuz those pictures look great. I've got this movement sitting in a gen case. Just waiting for some parts so I can finally put it all together.
HauteHippie Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Very cool project. And a great writeup as usual, Rob.
dcrooz Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Excellent work as always The Zigmeister. It's amazing how something like this can suddenly make one appreciate a watch I personally have never particularly liked that much until now.
