eunomians Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Cool, Rolex found a batch of Tritium for that dial! Rare!
thecrow Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Now, why would they bother doing that, making a rep like that, such a stupid mistake.
alligoat Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 You gotta remember English is not their first language. It might not even be their language at all. So they just copy stuff from other dials not knowing what it means. I'd just call it a "Vintage Yacht-Master". Someone would have to have eagle eyes to spot it at 3-4 feet!
ehtolcad Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 not to mention that the 'platinum' dial is way off as well as the red text
Bignasty Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 not to mention that the 'platinum' dial is way off as well as the red text Yeah I was suprised no one else mentioned this. Forgive me but that face looks bad.
SubFrog Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I actually had one very close to this...and I got a lot of compliments on it. I knew fully well that it was not an exact likeness as the seller was quite up front about it and the price was pretty low. But, I liked the way it looked and it seems others did as well.
JJFlash Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Bezel "30" looks like its been chewed on by the dog to me.
noorudeenshakur Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 ITs Vintage. Look it fits right in http://www.londonwatchcompany.com/watches/...hes_Vintage.htm lots of gens have that, call it vintage. It doesnt look like a rolesium at all do a google search the dial on a rolesium is totally diff. Its vintage and doesnt look that bad at all to me, you can rock it!
porschespeedster Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 just beat it up and call it vintage...everyone will think it's a gen if you wear it everyday and it has patina.
