Nanuq
I was just out running the dog (yes, in the snow) and came across a friend of mine in his Jeep. He leaned on his arm, elbow hanging out the window, and I spied the famous steel bracelet. I glanced and saw red, and looked again (surreptitiously). It was a gen Red Sub, or the best darn rep I've ever seen. Folded links, ivory aged indices, huge date font, and crown guards to die for. Beautiful!!! Tim
Nanuq, Did you hide the Noobmariner you were wearing in shame? /Tim
freddy333
Nanuq -- I was wondering the same thing, why did you not ask your friend about his wonderful new watch? It seems like a normal question for a friend, especially since he was obviously not hiding it.
panerai
Red Sub, I've had one on my wrist for the last 17 years and I still can't fault it.

archibald
god... I thought you meant this one... That's a rare sight indeed. Which reminds me...the guy who owns the cigar store by my house (and a cigar bar in DC that probably does 50k a week) collects vintage rollies--I've seen him with a 1680, a DRSD and a gold PN. Kruzer00 was kind enough to loan me his MBW great white (Singer dial, ubi bezel w/ OEM pearl, gen tropic, crown and tube, watchmiester DW, complete ziggification)...maybe I'll go buy a couple Hoyos tomorrow and see what happens! Watchmeister
Good luck with that one Arch. Just remember not to take it off the wrist. Got to get around to changing that back.
eunomians
I saw a 5513 strapped to a fellow who has the L.A. Times Festival Of Books guide sprawled out on table. I was using the same table as he to look through the listings to search through the book dealer listing. I noticed: - non-superdome T-19 Tropic - meters first dial in NOS condition - hands matched dial perfectly - folded bracelet in mint condition I concluded: - recently back from Rolex B.H. Service Center - beautiful watch
