PVD and kevlar

Well, the lume might give away my position so perhaps not entirely tactical.

I was getting bored of my dsn 195 with just the rubber strap, and I just can't get my head around combining brown straps and a PVD case so I decided to go with kevlar. I'm enjoying the watch again! Makes for an interesting contrast with the white aquaracer I just got.

Now I feel like I have one of two options for the day:

1. Dressing in black tactical gear, while yelling "WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE?" Jack-Bauer-style to innocent passer-bys.

2. Black turtleneck and really tight black pants with a ponytail..."Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance"

You could combine both looks and walk around saying "Now is the time on Sprockets when we determine what YOUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS!"

One thing though. Does this one have the "davidsen lug screw" problem like mine has meaning you can't get the screw totally in the lug.

Actually it's a river springbar I'm using right now...it sticks out about 1mm on the bottom lug. When I've got the patience, I'll have to sift through my collection of screws to find one that doesn't stick out.

i never tried it but do you mean that the Davidsen screws have the same dimension as the other reps ?

I always thought that they were way different but i will give it a try

I'm not typically into PVD watches, but that is a SHARP combo! Dieter and Jack both would approve!

It's a Strapculture Offlander strap.

I crimped the end of the river springbar so it doesn't stick out any more.

Modded springbar...no more sticking out the bottom lug! Backdrop showing my true geek nature...not Jack Bauerish at all.

Very cool look. I'm not ususally a PVD fan, but this works for me.

That is a great combo. Something else that looks nice with that watch is a nice carbon fiber and off white stitch color. I like the looks of the brown straps with the PVD as long as you have a nice PVD buckle to put with the combo.
