offshore
Any one who can get a chance, grab a look at our great race this weekend. Just saw some amazing vision during a support event, with a kangaroo joining in! Actually these things make a mess of your car if you collect one, and this one escaped, although it received a bump. The race however is tomorrow, on a circuit which climbs a mountain and descends.... 6-7 hour endurance event.... 1000kms. A large number of overseas drivers compete, and all are in awe of the circuit when they first go around it. It is a public scenic road at other times. An amazing placee, and event. Go Lowndsey....and Ford! Offshore
cornerstone
It is an absolutely insane descent - TV doesn't do it justice, I don't know how they do it at those speeds. Been round it a few times, but only at the speed limit - (it's a license to print money for the police with their speed traps there.) I always go for Ford too; Holden has always annoyed me. (We did have a Ford for years too - although it was a total lemon, I once went through three alternators in a single journey. Took about eight hours for the grin to fade the day someone finally paid me money for it!)

offshore
Good to see at least one of our mods has some taste there Ken! No doubt Brocky was a great driver, probably the best ever....he just chose the wrong marque Fabulous driving skills, are no excuse for poor taste! Pugwash
I have raced Mt Panorama often ... in simulators. It's a good track, especially in a 1967 F1 car. I usually download the Bathurst 1000 highlights as it's a culturally important race.
offshore
I only hope I can pick the Lotto numbers as well! Craig Lowndes wins Bathurst 2007... and Ford 1/2/3......time for a rum or 200 to celebrate! An amazing event...again... anyone with the opportunity to watch the highlights, or better still the last hour... just do it. Meanwhile the Offshore household is in celebration mode. Guest TTK
Tooheys 1000.....great days when the Cossies were running there...Bond in a Caltex 500.....until that bar steward Mark Scaife came along with those ceramic turbo 4 wheel drive Nismos....garrumph.....! I'm biased towards Ford.....'cos I ad me an RS500...450bhp.....fully spec'd.......I've owned and driven a lot of fast cars....Porkys....M's.....850i.....and so forth...the only two cars that quickened my pulse...every time I got in 'em...the Cossie...and my Lotus Carlton.....the Cossie....was quick but very twitchy........tramlining like nothing on earth....the Carlton had all the aerodynamic qualities of a garden shed....but it cleaved air.....5 doors......big heavy and masses of torque....luuverly......miss 'em both.....geez I wish I could have a week with either of them out here in Thailand......but no good roads......sorry....the roads are good...just that every fukker is coming at you from every angle.....besides which...I can only drive to the limit of my vision nowadays...which ain't very far.......LOL <param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrUTUTohecE"> Edited October 7, 2007 by TTK

Pugwash
Well, that makes downloading the race a waste of bandwidth ... Thanks for the results.
