docblackrock
I need to get a job before Nov 9th just so I can get an iPhone. Yes, I know they're only EDGE, but I'll spend most of my time in WiFi range. For what I do on a Mobile (Google Maps, BBC News, occasional email) my RAZR (regular GPRS) seems to be quick enough so a slightly faster EDGE connection will do me fine, I hope. At least EDGE doesn't eat batteries for breakfast like 3G does. I felt like that too, so I understand, really I do...the little voice in your head that says 'me want shiney new Apple/Mac gadget, one that runs OS X (yay!) and browses in Safari (whoopeee!) and hey, since my iPod is due an upgrade anyway....perfectamento!' But having calmed down, I had a Zen moment where I realised that I'm just not prepared to shell out over

cornerstone
From The Times: LINK: 50 Reasons not to buy an Iphone Not a flaw at all, but this cracked me up....(linked to in that list) "iPhone returns from service with 'official iPhone tool" "Call us crazy, but it certainly appears that Apple's unofficially official iPhone tool has ripped off MacGyver's lifeline. According to an iPhone user that sent his handset in for warranty service, it arrived back with this here piece of equipment, complete with Apple's famed display label and plastic bag. Heck, if having a malfunctioning iPhone is the only way to snag one of these bad boys, we're definitely crossing our fingers for an excuse to send ours in." Hey, I have one of those iClips already! Pugwash
Hey, I have one of those iClips already! Anyone that's ever owned a Mac with a floppy drive already has one of those iClips. It's been a standard Apple tool since 1984. ps. that 50-reasons article? Rather crappy humour-as-news.
richard_uk
I can't believe that Rolex would put their name to any phone made by LG, I still don't know how they ever got Prada to put their name on the POS Prada phone, LG phones are cheap tack.
