bertieng
Want to change the crystal of the MBK 5513. Any idea how to remove the bezel ring? Is it just a simple snap off by a razor/knife blade? Does it a pressing machine to put the bezel back on afterwards or again a snap on by hand will do the job? Thanks. Tribal
No No, on this one it's harder to get the retaining ring off.... Believe me.... Took a razorblade to pull it up But be carefull To get it back you need a press to do it right...

Tribal
Pfffffffff! We're not pansies like the boys from Austria, we just twist that ring off of there with our hands. Or our teeth, as necessary. Haha, i thought you drive with your car over it,to become the ring back over the case Edited October 12, 2007 by Tribal

freddy333
B-o-l-l-o-c-k-s! Toss the bastard thing in here and get yourself one of these Yes, a bit Rube Goldberg in design, but it is self-winding (just keep whipping the man & he will keep running the watch) & does not attract too many flies, which, as we all know, is the mark of a truly great timepiece. freddy333
Nah, you will scratch it with that thing. You need a woman's touch (and 3 (XXL) paper bags) Just sandwich the old watch in there somewhere & I am sure the bezel will end up getting pressed onto the shaft. Coming, Mother........ bertieng
Confirm it is necessary to trim down the retention ring in order to fit it onto the gen. T19. Pressing by force without rimming will just warp teh ring and it will never sit flush to the bottom of the case surface.
Highflyingclive
This is Gran's technique. Note correct use of eye-loupe and movement holder...
