Stephane Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Gen Insert is still here, must order one from him.... Or sell the insert to me
Tribal Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Or sell the insert to me Haha, I let you know...
cskent69 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 This is great news. Does it look like a genuine crystal might fit?
gioarmani Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 A word of caution--there are crowns that "fit" tubes, but the sizes don't match properly in order for the gaskets to seal. Can you pressure test it to see if the rep tube's O-rings seal properly (i.e. water-tight) to the gen crown? Thanks.

rosnik Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Sorry Kelster, can you get one side picture of the SD with the GEN inset? I ask fro this, just to see if the glass clearance is reduced or not with the GEN insert. PS: I'm waiting for delivery of mine from Precioustime, I hope to receive tomorrow or Monday.
rosnik Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 That's rotating bezel unfortunately is not 1:1 construction. It's like MBW bezel.
slickdick Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Personally i could care less if construction is 1:1, most important is, it accepts insert withouth modding the insert. the so called 1:1 construction from watchamster9 does not accept gen insert.
Leifhaus Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 This is great info and considering I looked at a Gen SD at Tourneau last night $$$$$$$. I've been comparing the inserts from Frank's pictures (rep and gen replacement). They look very close. Would purchasing a Illumines Dot for Bezel Insert from Ofrei, http://www.ofrei.com/page_151.html, and installing that in the stock bezel work?????

Frank

Frank I thought that the Illumines Dot for Bezel Insert, http://www.ofrei.com/page_151.html, is just the dot. Can you confirm this. And thanks for your pictures and sharing of information. Eric.

Eric. for a pearl check www.watchmaterial.com - they should have the best aftermarked pearls or try to get a used gen insert and use it from there. i don't know the stuff ofrei sells - i pay 40-55 Euro for gen inserts (when i find one).
