hambone
Today I spoke to more people from Manchaster England in 10 hours than in my whole life. 20,000 of these fans who came to see Ricky Hatton trounce the Vegas resident Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been roaming this town in droves. What a great bunch they are too. A group of 12, who have been close friends to Hatton since childhood engaged me in a lively convo about the fight. It was quite something to see all these people who travelled half way around the world to see their friend box. The fight at the MGM Grand was sold out and many of these Brits had to be relegated to seing the fight on closed circuit instead of live. It made me feel kind of bad. as my wife is a casino exec with MGM and got comp tickets to the fight. (One of the perks of living in Vegas). Both boxers are undefeated and this is one of the biggest fights in a while. Should be a great show. I am pulling for Hatton, the new great white hope. He is the underdog and it is always good to see the guy who most expect to lose, take the prize. Saturday night is fight night.
cornerstone
This is really building up to a massive fight; tempted to find a bar that's showing it. Mayweather has a vastly bigger reach than Hatton though. I'm intrigued to watch it, but my head says Mayweather, much as I will root for Hatton. sulone88
I'm ordering this on PPV tonight. I'm grabbing my last case of SAM ADAMS OCTOBERFEST out of the fridge and having the boys over. I hope HATTON wins. Mayweather is a pompas ass. We need a HATTON in America, the peoples man!
hyster
Ricky Hatton, is a lovely guy, hope he wins. I just hope he can stay with Mayweather for a few rounds and catch him with one of his awesome body shots. Its on at about 3 in the morning here so I will be sound asleep, I'll check it out when I get up.

hambone
Too bad Hatton lost the fight tonight after 10 rounds. He did however stop Mayweather from his show off routines and dancing, Hatton was in Mayweathers face pounding away all through the fight, and it was a very good fight, but Mayweather was the clear winner and better boxer. First defeat for Hatton. Who knows, he might be back to beat him now that he knows what he is like up close.
Victoria
Yup I was just reading about this fight in the paper, they say tickets were being scalped as high as $45k!!!!!!! Mayweather is a pompus ass and I hope this little brit can knock him off his stoop. Should be interesting to say the least! No one in America likes this guy, so that's why w2w's post (not a bitter one by any means!) to our American cousins raised a smile. Didn't watch it. Haven't opened the Sunday papers. Please tell me Ricky won... UPDATE: Oh. :akuma: Well, at least people got their money's worth. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jcyNIpI...DDenbAD8TE03H00

Emmzy
If you can, take a look at previous Hatton fights. He's a awesome boxer. He stepped up in weight for this bout and it cost him. He'll be back for sure, this guy is no quitter. (Mayweather deserved to win, take nothing away from him he's a class boxer) Ricky's the people's favourite. Still lives around the corner from his Mum in Manchester. Hangs around with the locals and is famous for piling on the pounds after a bout. As soon as he gets home he'll be in the pub and down the local cafe eating full English breakfasts.....we love him.
